Well, I think that I great job has been done. I just remember my
abilities before starting my classes, but now, I can say that I have a lot of
knowledge and more experience that in the beginning. All these experiences in
this semester have been completely different from working with basic’s students
until intermediate’s ones. From them, I have learn many things because all of
them have different characteristics and qualities, and they show a variety of
ways of thinking. For example: there are good students, tardies, participative,
shies, retracted (do not like to participate in anything), etc. but this is
what teachers have to deal with.
When teaching, I have found
many advantages such: learning when teaching, experiencing myself, meeting many
students, remembering different topics, getting experience when planning and
many others. However, not only there exist advantages, there are disadvantages
as well. For example, one of those disadvantages that I found is the time. I
believe that the time is so short when we have to teach a large topic or a
topic that need more explanation. Also, the size of the classroom. There are
classrooms in which there are more than twenty-five students in it, and it is
so small for all of them, and I cannot arrange the desks or the position of the students because
it looks like the same.
One of my biggest challenges
has been to carry out a class and make all the students to participate because
in some levels the students are hard to motivate or make them participate. Nevertheless,
I have done this and I have felt satisfied. Another challenge has been to apply
the feedbacks to improve my class.
The impact that teaching has
caused on me is that not many student would summit to the teaching environment
because it is a hard and requires devotion. No matter, I think I would do
it.
